Maiden Forest

“Maiden forest” … where do I come up with the titles? This piece has a hidden figure in it that I never planned. If you look at this piece and squint … she’s there. Looks like or feels like a Native American Maiden with the front of the face showing eyes, lips,  and a curving brushstroke for the outline of the face. It was never intended and that is the beauty of this piece. The texture in the tree in the foreground is a feast for the eyes with the native bloom of the orange colored wildflowers popping in the middle ground and the outline of several pines in the background near the sky. This piece has a soul and comes beautifully framed and ready to hang in your collection.

18″ x 24″ framed original oil painting. Frame is ribbed with antique white.
